Within its 14th edition, Piano Extravaganza Festival will present one piano recital, one jazz concert and two chamber concerts. We hope that our extraordinary artists and the variety of the repertoire for those four events would satisfy even the most sophisticated connoisseur. We would be delighted to welcome you at the wonderful venues of the Chamber Hall Bulgaria, Sofia Live Club, and The Sofis City Art Gallery in Sofia!
The Festival, organized by the Piano Extravaganza Foundation, was held for the first time in October 2011, thus fulfilling an old dream of Maestro Ludmil Angelov, Founder and Artistic Director of Piano Extravaganza. The main purpose of the Festival is to restore the world’s musical heritage by promoting works of high artistic value by composers who are little known or who have been overshadowed by the most famous and universally acclaimed geniuses of classical music.
Since the first edition of the event, the ambition of the organizers has been to attract Bulgarian and international audience of classical music lovers who look for something different, offering them a truly unique program of concerts. The main emphasis in the Festival’s program policy is on music for piano, the most universal musical instrument, which appears in all concerts. Thus, the music lovers are able to enjoy piano recitals, chamber concerts and song evenings, thanks also to the excellent acoustics of the elegant halls of the Central Military Club, the Aula of Sofia University, the National Opera House and the National Art Gallery in Sofia.
The festival is part of the Calendar of Cultural Events of Sofia Municipality for 2024.
